A Struggle of the Mind

      This series of digital photographs was created in 2021. The images portray my sister, Sierra, and her battle with depression. The bright, bold colors serve to be a juxtaposition with her mental state during the time when these images were taken. I chose to include images not just of Sierra, but of her bedroom as well, in an effort to show the viewer an intimate view of what the mental illness can look like.
